Student Body is one of those films you watch as a 15 year old, thinking that you are getting away with seeing something that only 17 and 18 year olds can watch. Older kids getting away with all sort of debauchery. For the rest of us, well, we have seen this done a few times before.
Synopsis: A distressing incident compels childhood best friends Jane and Merritt to take action against their high school math teacher, driving their splintered relationship into further turmoil and provoking deadly consequences.
Full of cliche characters and cringeworthy line delivery this one is obviously intended for those who just want to see some bloody teen revenge. And to be honest it really isn’t that bloody. The stereotypes abound so much that you can almost predict the next piece of dialogue.
The plot is not the worst ever. The students seeking revenge against a teacher has been done, but this one added a few interesting twists. They are carried out so badly by the cast though that they almost don’t seem worth the effort.
I am pulling for actress Harley Quinn Smith to succeed in this industry. Mainly because she has to live up to her name; both first and last. She plays Nadia Parker in this one. I wish I could say more.
In fact I can’t think of anything else to say about this one. I mean, I could tear it apart more and bash all that is wrong with it, but to be honest a lot of people put a lot of work into it. So I will just say, if you are into this type of movie and care little or nothing about plot and acting. Give it a shot.
