Synopsis: Duchess (Charlotte Kirk), a small-time crook, tries to enter the treacherous underworld of diamond trafficking and ends up left for dead when a deal goes wrong. Determined to seek retribution, she launches into an unwavering pursuit for vengeance.
There have been several revenge films over the decades some of which are iconic go to classics. This will not be one of them, but it was still a fun, one-and-done ride. Not a lot of familiar faces for US audiences yet in a film like this it is often nice to not have any past associations. Charlotte Kirk is gritty and determined as she brings Duchess to screen.
The writing gives us crazy characters for Duchess to interact with through out her journey. Most are predictable and at times cliche. There is a reason why Hallmark can use the same template over and over and people watch. It is the same with this category. It is ok that we have seen so much of it before. If you are a fan of the genre you simply don’t care.
